Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov 27: In adherence to its zero-tolerance policy against crime, Police Station Pahargaon has apprehended seven individuals involved in a brutal attempt-to-murder incident at a bar in Garacharma.
On 24/11/2024, based on the complaint of the bar owner, Mr. K. Kumar, a case was registered at PS Pahargaon. As per the complaint, on the night of 23/11/2024, 03 individuals created a ruckus at the bar after consuming alcohol and refused to pay, leading to an altercation and assaulted bar staff. The next morning, these individuals returned to the bar, accompanied by others, armed with cricket bat and sticks. They assaulted the bar owner and staff with the intention to kill, caused serious injuries, damaged property and issued threats before fleeing the scene.
Upon receiving the report, an attempt-to-murder case was promptly registered and a dedicated team was constituted under the supervision of Inspector Mohd Elias, SHO, PS Pahargaon. The team, comprising of SI Manish Narayan supported by PCs L. Horo, Rahul Kumar, D. Shiv Kumar and H. Nishar conducted a meticulous investigation.
CCTV footage from the premises was thoroughly analyzed, enabling the team to swiftly identify and apprehend all seven accused 1. Abdul Salim R/o Teyerlabad 2. Sayied Ali Hussain 3. Mohammed Azaruddin , 4. Abdul Majeed, 5. Mohammed Rafique, 6. Ranjit Biswas and 7. Ashraf Ali Lasker all R/o Garacharma.
The entire operation was took place under the supervision of Mr. Manasvi Vashistha, DySP, APU & Miss Yogita Sharma, DySP, SDPO(SA) and the overall supervision of Mrs. Niharika Bhatt, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-236641. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
