Port Blair, Sept. 10:All concerned have been informed that as per the communication received from the Under Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, CTCR Division, New Delhi, the following four MBBS seats have been earmarked from the Central Pool for spouse and children of Civilian Victims of Terrorism in the following medical colleges/institutes for nomination for the academic year 2024-25:

The Ministry further informed that the following order of priority has been prescribed for allocation of aforesaid MBBS seats to the spouse or children of Civilian Victims of Terrorism:
(a) Priority-I: Children whose both parents have been killed by terrorists.
(b) Priority-II: Children of families whose sole bread earners has been killed by terrorists.
I Priority-III: Wards of victims with permanent disability and serious injury caused by terrorist operations.
The eligibility Criteria are as under:-
- Candidate must either be spouse or children of the deceased/disabled civilian victim of terrorism.
- He/She has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course and is an Indian National.
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC-PWD/ST-PWD/OBC-PWD (Persons with Disability) category candidates) taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology at the qualifying examination of 12th
- Qualifying percentile in NEET (UG)- 2024 :As per Graduate Medical Education Regulations of National Medical Commission, it shall be necessary for the candidates to obtain minimum marks at 50th percentile at NEET (UG)-2024. For SC, ST& OBC, the minimum marks shall be at 40th In respect of candidates with special disability, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile.
Accordingly, applications in the prescribed format (Annexure-I), in duplicate enclosing all necessary documents have been invited from interested/eligible candidates for allocation of said MBBS seats earmarked from the Central Pool for spouse and children of Civilian Victims of Terrorism.
The duly filed-in application enclosing all necessary documents including the documentary evidence of Civilian Victim of Terrorism may be submitted in person to the Development–IV Section, Secretariat, Port Blair by 13th September, 2024 up to 5 pm. Incomplete applications will be summarily will be rejected. No application will be entertained or accepted after the expiry of the stipulated date and time as specified.
