Port Blair, Sep 08: The CRC-A&N Islands and Social Welfare Department Collaborate to Organize Screening and Awareness Camps at North & Middle Andaman.
North & Middle Andaman, [10th to 11th Sept, 2024] — The Composite Regional Centre (CRC) for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, is pleased to announce a series of Screening and Awareness Generation Camps for Divyangjans (Persons with Disabilities) in the North & Middle Andaman regions.
These camps aim to provide essential assistive devices under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) Scheme and to raise awareness about available support services. A dedicated team has been deployed to conduct these camps in the following locations:
– Mayabunder: 10.09.2024 at Rampur Panchayat
– Diglipur: 11.09.2024 at GPOA Hall
The initiative seeks to ensure that those in need of assistive devices or information about the ADIP Scheme can access the required resources. All beneficiaries are urged to attend the screening camps and avail the benefits. Individuals with disabilities, along with their families and caregivers, are encouraged to participate with the necessary documents, including two passport-sized photos, Aadhaar copy, UDID copy, and a BPL certificate (optional).
The Mayabunder camp will take place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For registration, beneficiaries can contact the area Anganwadi workers. The CRC, under NIEPMD, is offering various services to support Divyangjans through this initiative.
