Port Blair, Feb 15: As per the provisions contained in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Land Revenue and Land Reforms Regulation, 1966 and rules framed thereunder, the tenants are required to pay their land revenues from 1st January to 31st January every year.
A Special Campaign was conducted for collection of land revenue and a counter was also set-up in the Tehsil Office Premises for this purpose. Those who failed to pay the land revenue during the specified time period are to be treated as defaulters and land revenue due to be collected as arrears.
Henceforth, the tenants shall apply to the Tehsildar, Port Blair for accepting land revenue arrears and it shall be collected by the Head Clerk of the Tehsil Office, Port Blair from 03.00 P.M to 04.30 P.M on all working days, a communication received here said.
