Port Blair, Feb 22: In support of the two days All India Strike on 20th and 21st of February- 2013 Called by All trade Unions the postal employees at Port Blair organized Mass Demonstration at Morning and evening on 20-02-2013 and 21-02-2013.
The Demonstration was organized jointly by the All India postal employee’s union class-III, class-IV and gramin dak sevaks.
A large number of postal employees posted at Port Blair participated in the porgramme which was led by Mr. Stephen Fernandez Divisional Secretary, AIPEU (Class-III) Mr. Anadi Rajan Bhattacharjee, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU (Class-IV) and Mr. Athanu Bhattacharjee Divisional Secretary – Gramin Dak Sevak.
The leaders while addressing the employees condemned various anti-employee attitude of the central government and demanded immediate settlement of all the 15 demands which were raised by the all trade unions.
Mr. Stephen Fernandez emphasized the need for the actives in the union for union’s strength so that union can fight for the battement of the employees.
