Port Blair, Dec 30: The Lt. Governor’s Car today reportedly moved from Raj Niwas to Corbyn’s Cove Raj area without sirens and without with high profile police arrangement. Sources told Andaman Sheekha that the car travelled from Raj Niwas to Raj Niwas Annexe building of Corbyn’s Cove and returned back without making much noise, today late evening.
However, it is still not clear that who was actually sitting inside the car. As a tradition, the Lt. Governor of A & N Islands never moves without a pilot Jeep with siren, police commandoes and his team. Always best security arrangements are made while movement of Lt. Governor, for his safety and security.
Those, who saw movement of LG’s car without siren and without much traffic arrangements, were totally surprised.
As the Administration of Raj Niwas do not have an official spokesperson, this news could not be crossed checked. Public would surely want to know that if someone has misused LG’s car or there was serious lapse in LG’s security in today’s movement. After all safety and security of Andaman Administrator must be Police Department’s top priority. It is still now clear that who is actually staying in Raj Niwas Annexe, at present.
This is a serious issue. If we are not able to provide security cover to the epitome of Administration, where does the common man stand? Horrible!
