Port Blair, Dec 04: 35 students from ANIIMS volunteered for the same. Awareness program washeld at A P Sambhavan Community Hall in the presence of Member of PanchayatSamiti Mrs.Chaitali Roy and also at Tsunami Shelters and VKV Port Mout. 250 sanitary napkins (pads) were donated by the Pad Donation Drive – LaalDaag to the women and girl students from class VI to XII. Around 150 padswere sponsored by Rotary Club Next Gen in the presence of president P DPrasad and Rotary club members Dakshin Bhasker and Vignesh.The awareness program was headed by ANIIMS student Sanskrati Chaudhary.The beneficiaries were educated regarding the Do’s and Don’ts of MenstrualHygiene, Stereotypes, Stigma, nutrition and diet. A massive positiveresponse from women and students were gained as they freely asked theirdoubts and complications.
