Port Blair, Apr 08: A man absconding after attacking his aide in Chennai was arrested by a team of Chennai Police with help of CISF officers at Port Blair Airport on Sunday afternoon.
As per information received, the accused went absconding after he allegedly attacked his driver, on which a case was registered against him in Chennai. He came to Port Blair on 2nd April 2022 with his friend and was staying at a hotel at Nayagaon.
As per details he is involved in various cases, including three murders cases and land grab and extortion cases.
Later when the Chennai police got this information that the man is in Port Blair, they immediately arrived on the next day to arrest him but somehow the accused got the information that police team from Chennai is coming after him so he decided to leave Andaman on 3rd April 2022, but he was caught at the airport before boarding the flight.
The team of Chennai Police arrested him and presented him in the court from where they got a transit remand order and later he was sent back to Chennai. Further details are awaited.
