Port Blair, Mar 03: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder campaigned in support of Congress candidates from Baratang, Rangat, Kadamtala, Mayabunder, Tugapur, Paschim Sagar, Bakultala and in 15 Panchayats of Diglipur on 02nd and 03rd March 2022.
He interacted with local residents and raised issues such as unemployment in the Islands and the increasing menace of drugs.
He also appealed to all residents to vote for Congress to make A&N Islands free from corruption. According to Mr. Halder, BJP is a complete failure and the BJP leaders are spreading lies about the development of Municipal &Panchayat Wards to mislead voters in A&N Islands.
He said that parties like BJP have spared no effort to push the people of A&N Islands into darkness by showing false hopes.
During the campaign, he was accompanied by Mr. Abhishek Banerjee, West Bengal Media Cell Chairman & PCC Spokesperson, Mr. Chandan Ghosh Chowdhary, West Bengal AICC Senior Spokesperson, Mr. Abibhushan Ghosh, DCC General Secretary, Mr. Vijay Kumar, NSUI District President and all Block Congress Committee leaders.
