Port Blair, Feb 08: the Telugu Desam Party, A&N Islands today announced that the party had decided to contest the upcoming elections for Gram Panchayats, Zilla Parishads and Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) independently without any alliance.
In a press release issued today, Mr. N Manikya Rao Yadav, State President of TDP mentioned that the Telugu Desam Party under the leadership of Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu continues to work towards safeguarding the interests of all citizens, especially the Telugu people all over the world.
He added that the TDP, A & N Islands inspired by the Late Mr. N. T. Rama Rao is committed to work towards protecting the interests of all Islanders of A&N Islands under the able leadership of Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
He further urged that any news regarding an alliance with another party or parties will be deemed as a rumour and false.
