Port Blair, Jan 30: The 39th Death Anniversary of veteran trade union leader Comrade PKS Prasad was observed today the 29th January, 2022. The main function was held at Crusade House, Phoenix Bay, Port Blair where wreaths were laid on the memorialcolumn of late PKS Prasad by Non-Gazetted Govt Officers’ Association and trade unions affiliated to CITU and BSNL Employees Union. In view of the restrictions on assembly of people imposed by the Administration due to Covid 19 pandamic, the usual remembrance meeting was not held this time. At the outset, senior leader Shri D. Ayyappan recalled the innumerable agitations conducted by late PKS Prasad, taking up the grievances and demands of government employees and workers in the islands.
