Port Blair, Jan 06: In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in these islands, a team of World Human Rights Protection Commission (WHRPC), New Delhi, headed by Dr J Arockia Raj, met a few officials of the Health Department and invited their attention towards negligence on the part of health and sanitary workers. Bio-Medical waste at ANIIMS and DD Health have not been disposed of and such irresponsible act will increase the risk of spread of the virus and bacterial infection, the health officers were told. The Commission demanded immediate action to dispose of such Bio-Medical wastes.
