Port Blair, Dec 13: Yuva Bharat Samaj Seva Charitable Trust (YBSSCT) in coordination with the Naval NCC wing, JNRM College paid homage to India’s first CDS Gen. Bipin Rawat, Mrs. Madhulika Rawat, and 11 other Defence personnel who lost their lives in a helicopter crash IAF’s Mi-17V5 on 8th December near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu.
A gathering of 120 residents of Port Blair comprising of YBSSCT members, NCC cadets, and volunteers graced the candle light march on 10th December in loving memory of the deceased. Floral tributes were offered and a two minutes silence was observed for the decorated martyrs of Indian armed forces. Also, the gathering prayed to the Almighty to grant them eternal peace.
