Port Blair, Dec 13: A delegation led by Mr. Manoj Kumar Sirohiji, Secretary of VHP, A&N Islands met Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Dairy on 12/12/2021 at Circuit House, Atlanta Point, Port Blair and placed several vital points on cow protection viz introduction of Helpline number 24 x 7 for saving Cow / Bulls and other cattle; Establishment of Modernised Animal Treatment hospital with equipped Ambulance facility in all districts for in-house treatment; Providing Cattle lifting (Modern Crane facility – Light Vehicle mounted) Vehicle; FULL STOP on Cow & Bull slaughtering as No Modern Slaughter house exists; Conduct Disciplinary proceedings against Govt. Veterinary Doctors who issues certificate for slaughtering past 5 years; Construction of Cattle In-house Maintenance pound for up-keeping all Overaged cattle instead of recommending for slaughtering and Providing of Cattle feeds in a subsidised low costing, based on Aadhar seeded cattle to each Farmer / Household / Entrepreneur, a release issued by Mr. Manoj Kumar Sirohi, Secretary, VHP, A&N Islands said here today.
