Port Blair, Dec 07: Bringing joy for passengers and great deal of relief to many, the newly inducted ship MV Sindhu, safely berthed at Campbell Bay Jetty this evening.
It is learnt that the vessel MV Sindhu along with more than 400 passengers and general Cargo departed yesterday at around 2.00 PM from Port Blair and reached Nancowry at around 08:00 AM today and later it departed from Nancowry at 11:00 AM for Campbell Bay.
The ship reached Campbell Bay today at around 05:00 PM. The ship will again sail for Port Blair via Nancowry tomorrow at around 08:00 AM with around 300 passengers, it is learnt. The ship is expected to reach Port Blair on 09 December 2021 between 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Earlier during its trial sailing MV Sindhu had hit the Dolphin (an additional RCC structure) near Breakwater jetty and sustained minor damages on November 14, 2021. Once completed this will be the first successful sailing of MV Sindhu with passengers after its induction.
