Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 02: The cargo vessel MV Chuglam will sail for Campbell Bay on 04.04.2025 (Fri) at 0800 Hrs from Haddo/Chatham Jetty and will sail for Sri Vijaya Puram immediately after discharging/loading of Cargo at Campbell Bay. Booking of cargo for the above sailing will be done on 03.04.2025 between 0900 Hrs & 1200 Hrs at Commercial Wing.
All the consigners are advised to book actual quantity of cargo to be transhipped, as no excess cargo will be allowed.
Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr. 2: A Block-level training program focusing on ‘Strategies for Creating a Comprehensive Block Panchayat Development Plan’ was conducted at CMTC Building at Ferrargunj. The session aimed to provide participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively develop the Block Panchayat Development Plan (BPDP), a critical document that outlines development priorities and strategies for Ferrargunj Block.
Ms Sunita Das, a Domain Expert from the Directorate of Rural Development, PRIs & ULBs, led the discussion on the necessary steps involved in creating the BPDP. Shri Mohd. Safique, Pradhan, Mithakhari, shared critical insights into some of the challenges faced during the preparation of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) and BPDP. Shri Yacub, Assistant Engineer from PRIs, led an open session that underscored the importance of aligning development plans with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the Government of India.
Later, an interaction session was also conducted. Smti Lalita Tigga, Block Development Officer, C.D. Block, Ferrargunj, emphasized the importance of the training initiative in fostering digital governance.
Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr.2: The Department of lndustries, A&N Administration has invited all school students from Class IX to XII to explore the vibrant world of handicrafts through free 15-day Vocational Training Program, focusing on Coconut Shell, Wooden, and Cane & Bamboo Craft.
This program offers hands-on training from expert artisans and master craftsman. The training is scheduled from 1st May to 15th May, 2025.
With limited seats available, this is an incredible opportunity for students to learn and grow. To register, students may submit their application at the Directorate of Industries, Udyog Parisar, Middle Point, Sri Vijaya Puram. The last date for submission is April 21, 2025.
