The commuters of the above areas can avail the above service.

Inaugural Launch of Coffee Table Magazine – “The Business Leaders of the Islands: Inspiring Stories of Lakhpati Didi”
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 22: The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Rural Livelihoods Mission (ANIRLM) under the aegis of the Rural Development (RD) Department proudly launched its first-ever Coffee Table Magazine titled “The Business Leaders of the Island: Inspiring Stories of Lakhpati Didi” on 21st January 2025. The inaugural edition was unveiled by the Chief Secretary of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration at a special event held at the A&N Administration.
The Chief Secretary applauded the Department for its initiative in curetting this unique publication that celebrates the entrepreneurial achievements of women in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The magazine features inspiring stories of Lakhpati Didi – women entrepreneurs who have risen to become leaders in business, demonstrating resilience, innovation, and exceptional leadership.
In his address, the Chief Secretary emphasized the significance of such initiatives in empowering local communities and fostering economic growth in the region. “This publication is a powerful reminder of the indomitable spirit of our local women entrepreneurs. The stories of Lakhpati Didi are not just about financial success but about overcoming adversity, breaking barriers, and inspiring future generations,” he said. “I encourage the ANIRLM Cell and the RD Department to continue sharing these success stories, as they serve as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for other women to step into leadership roles.”
Coffee Table Magazine is a new initiative by the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Rural Livelihoods Mission (ANIRLM) under the Rural Development (RD) Department. This publication aims to celebrate the stories of 25 local women who have transformed their lives through entrepreneurship particularly in a region where access to resources and opportunities can be challenging and serve as an inspiration for others. It showcases the journeys of individuals who have overcome challenges to achieve success, thereby encouraging others in the region to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.
The Chief Secretary further emphasized the importance of creating a platform for local success stories and encouraged the department to continue its efforts in empowering entrepreneurs and promoting inclusive growth. He also expressed hope that this Coffee Table Magazine would become a regular feature, continuing to highlight the untold stories of business leaders in the region.
Grand Cultural Event Marks A&N Police Week in Diglipur
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 22: In celebration of Police Raising Week, a grand cultural event was held on 21.01.2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, Diglipur, drawing enthusiastic participation from the community. The highlight of the evening was the vibrant performances by school boys and girls, whose exceptional talent and enthusiasm captivated the audience. The students showcased a series of patriotic songs and traditional dances, each performance radiating a profound sense of pride, unity, and cultural heritage. The event fostered a deep connection between the police force and the community, underscoring the spirit of harmony and mutual respect. The joyous atmosphere, combined with the heartfelt creativity of the young performers, left an indelible impression on all attendees, making the celebration a truly memorable occasion.
The event was graced by an esteemed panel of guests including Mr. Ankur, DIG Coastguard, Ms. Shweta K. Sugathan, IPS, SP (D) N&MA, Mr. S. Kamaleshwar Rao, IAS, AC Diglipur, Mr. Vaibhav Sunderiar, CO, INS Koshassa and Mr. Siva Shakthi B, IFS, DFO Diglipur. Their presence added prestige to the occasion and each dignitary commended the efforts of the participants for fostering a spirit of patriotism and community engagement.
The event not only showcased the cultural richness of the region but also emphasized the importance of unity and national pride. The Police Department commended the students and all those involved for their dedication to making the event a resounding success.

Block Level Sports Organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Diglipur
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 22: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Diglipur has organised Block Level Sports in collaboration with the Department of Education, Diglipur Zone. From 15th to 21st Jan. 2025 at Vivekananda Stadium, Diglipur. Altogether 135 (male & female) players participated in the group and individual events like -Relay Race & 200m Race & Volleyball Tournament for men and Tug of War, 100m Race & Shot Put for Women. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. S. Varahavatarm, AD ( Sports) i/c on 15th Jan. 2025. Mrs. Sulocana, Deputy Education Officer, Education Department, Diglipur has awarded prizes to the winners as the Chief Guest on 21.01.2025. The sports programme was concluded with the Vote of thanks proposed by Mrs.. Putul Rani Bepari, APA, NYK, Diglipur.
