Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 20: The schedule of All India Trade Test (AITT) for supplementary candidates has been received from Directorate General of Training (DGT), New Delhi, for Trade Practical and Engineering Drawing subjects of the annual pattern under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) for various Engineering and Non-Engineering trades.
The above-said supplementary exam shall be eligible for the trainees of admission year 2019 (Second Year of two-year trade) and all trainees from admission year 2020 and onwards. The practical exam shall start from 27th January to 06th February, 2025. The said exam will be held at Government Industrial Training Institute, Dollygunj, Government Vocational Training Institute, Bakultala, and Government Industrial Training Institute, Arong.

NCC Cadets Visit Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island and North Bay
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 20: On Day 7 of the Special National Integration Camp 2025, NCC cadets explored the historic Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island and the scenic North Bay Island.
At Subhash Chandra Bose Island, the cadets discovered remnants of British colonial architecture and gained insights into India’s pre- and post-independence history. The island’s natural beauty further enriched their experience.
In the afternoon, the cadets visited North Bay Island, renowned for its vibrant coral reefs and pristine landscapes. The crystal-clear waters and breathtaking scenery offered a glimpse of the Andaman Islands’ untouched charm.
Colonel Pankaj Modgil, Commanding Officer of 1 (AN) Independent Infantry Company NCC, guided the cadets, sharing valuable insights and ensuring their safety.
The day was a memorable mix of history, nature, and adventure for the cadets.
Blood Donation Camp and Nukkad Natak in Observance of Police Raising Week & Road Safety Month, 2025
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 20: In observance of Police Raising Week and Road Safety Month, 2025 the A&N Traffic Police and South Andaman District Police organised a Blood Donation Camp of police personnel on 20th January 2025, in collaboration with the team of Directorate of Health Services. The event took place at the Conference Hall of PS Aberdeen and was graced by the presence of Mr. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police (D), South Andaman/Traffic, Mr. Vikas Swami, IPS, SDPO (S/A) and Mr. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, Dy. Superintendent of Police (Traffic).
Police personnel from the Traffic Unit, DHQ S/A and Police Stations under the South Andaman District actively participated in the camp and contributed by donating blood. Total 27 persons donated blood.
Additionally, the A&N Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Police Entertainment Team, organized a Nukkad Natak (street play) on Road Safety at Cellular Jail and Marina Park. The event was attended by over 600 spectators, who gained valuable insights into road safety and the importance of safe road behaviour.
