M-13025(11)/4/2023-LPG-PNG(E-45700) dated 18th Oct 2023) has been issued to IOCL, mandating that subsidy transfers beyond 31st December 2023, will exclusively be facilitated for customers who have undergone biometric authentication. This measure is designed to enhance the security of subsidy transactions, ensuring they reach only legitimate recipients.

Mandatory Biometric Authentication: To continue benefiting from subsidy transfers, all registered LPG consumers under PRIYA INDANE are urged to complete their eKYC/biometric authentication during the refill delivery process.

Utilization of FaceID Recognition Aadhaar Authentication App: Our dedicated delivery personnel will employ the FaceID recognition Aadhaar authentication app to facilitate the biometric authentication process.
Deadline: The deadline for completing the authentication process is 31st December 2023. Consumers are encouraged to act promptly to avoid any disruption in subsidy transfers.

‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ (VBSY) Campaign held at Gram Panchayat Ferrargunj
Port Blair, Nov. 29: The ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ (VBSY) Campaign was held at Gram Panchayat Ferrargunj today under the jurisdiction of CD Block Ferrargunj. VBSY, the largest ever outreach initiative of the Government of India is planned on the vision of inclusive development. It has been a constant endeavor of the Government to ensure that the benefits of its schemes reach all citizens, thus achieving 100% saturation.
The IEC Van of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra today reached Gram Panchayat Ferrargunj under the jurisdiction of CD Block Ferrargunj where a cordial welcome was accorded by Shri Sunil Kumar, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Ferrargunj along with PRI members and the Panchayat Secretary. The Pradhan administered The ‘Sankalp Pledge’ to the gathering and briefed about various Welfare Schemes of the Central Govt. and policies and stressed on ‘Jan Bhagidari’ for outreach of the benefits of schemes to left out beneficiaries.
Various Departments and Organizations, such as the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Industries Department, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Department, Fisheries Department, Revenue Department, A & N Cooperative Bank, State Bank of India (CRISIL), Health Department, Social Welfare Department, Priya Indane, ICAR-KVK, Andaman Krishak Sahyog Producer Company Limited participated in the programe to create awareness about their schemes among the rural public. The Health Department conducted a thorough health screening, encompassing essential health check-ups such as blood pressure, TB screening and TB awareness. Beneficiaries were distributed ABHA ID Cards. Nukad Nataks were presented by the Art & Culture Department on the theme ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’ and a short drama was performed by NRLM on ‘SHG foundation Day’. Prizes & Certificates were distributed to the winners of various schemes. ‘Vote of thanks’ was administered by the Pradhan, GP Ferrargunj.
After completion of the programme at GP Ferrargunj, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van proceeded to GP Bindraban. On arrival of the Van at Gram Panchayat Bindraban, a grand welcome was accorded by Smt. Naseem Banu, Pradhan, Panchayat Secretary, along with other PRI members and villagers. The program began with a welcome speech followed by screening of recorded message of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. She administered the Sankalp Pledge to the gathering. A Nukad Natak was presented on the theme ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’ and ‘Vasudaiva Kutumbakam’ by Thiruvalluvar Public School. The Health Department conducted a thorough health screening, encompassing essential health check-ups The Agriculture Department organized Soil Health Cards demonstrations and conducted interaction session with farmers for promoting organic farm produce. Zilla Parishad Member and Pradhan felicitated one TB Champion on the occasion.
‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ in Car Nicobar Block
Car Nicobar, Nov. 29: As part of ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ in Car Nicobar Block, the IEC Van reached Big Lapathy village today. The van was welcomed at Lapathy village by the Tribal Community with their traditional cultural programme. Shri Piyush V. Singh, Assistant Commissioner (HQ) Car Nicobar who was the chief guest of the programme addressed the gathering and urged the public to avail maximum benefits from the ongoing schemes of Govt. of India in order to achieve 100% saturation during the entire Yatra. The Schemes include the Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana/NRLM, PM Awas Yojana (Rural).
VBSY video was screened at Big Lapathy Community Hall and Sankalp Pledge was administered to the local Tribal leaders and villagers. Cultural programme on the theme ‘Dharti Kahe Pukaar Ke’ was presented by the students of JNV, Car Nicobar to educate the gathering about the benefits of the ongoing schemes of Govt. of India.
Various line Departments provided on the spot services to the public. The Health Department conducted health check-up camp, TB screening while the Agriculture Department and KVK demonstrated the bio farming technology through ‘Satak Krishi’. Further, many individual beneficiaries also shared the benefits and success stories of the schemes availed by them from the Govt. through ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’. The Assistant Commissioner (HQ) Car Nicobar also distributed tools kits, seeds from KVK, Health Cards by Health Department) Soil Health Card by Agriculture Department and KCC Card by Fisheries Department to the eligible beneficiaries.
Hall Ticket for the post of Veterinary Compounder
Port Blair, Nov. 29:The Hall Ticket for the post of Veterinary Compounder in Directorate of AH&VS will be uploaded in the Departmental website of https://ahvs.andaman.gov.in and in Administration’s website www.andaman.gov.in on 30/11/2023 from 11 am. The exam for the post of Veterinary Compounder is scheduled to be held on 14/12/2023.
Firing practice

Port Blair, Nov 29: In continuation of this Directorate’s Press Note No. M/Estt/2-1(188)/2023/Vol-I/2527 dated 28.11.2023 Swimming Test & Trade Test for the short listed Candidates published in the Daily Telegrams of the Press Note dated 28.11.2023 for the post of Conductor, General Servant (DSS), Electrician (Afloat), Deck Rating (PMB), Jettyman (DSS), Boat Keeper, Lascar (NCC Naval Unit), Engine Dinghy Helper (AAJVS), Engine Dinghy Operator (AAJVS), Lascar, Oiler, Seacunny (Environment & Forest) will be held as per the following schedule. Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra held at GP Swadeshnagar
Mayabunder, Nov. 29:The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was held at GP Swadeshnagar and Harinagar in N&M Andaman District today. A grassroot level movement dedicated to strengthening the communities, advancing education, and fostering sustainable development, the especially designed IEC Van was welcomed and a video was also screened. During the yatra, locals enthusiastically watched the recorded message of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India regarding the campaign. The PRIs, general public, school children and officials also took the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp’ Pledge on the occasion.
Shri Vikas Anand, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj also attended the VBSY campaign at GP Swadeshnagar. Apart from that Health Camps, Aadhaar Updation camps etc. were conducted at the venue for the general public. Officials from different Departments conducted interactive sessions with the local residents wherein they were informed about the procedures to avail the welfare schemes of the Government. Individual success stories were also weaved into the Yatra, where beneficiaries presented ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani,’ a testimony on transformation brought about by the Government’s flagship schemes in their lives. The camp witnessed huge participation of people from the area. The Nodal Officer has expressed gratitude to the participants for their enthusiastic involvement in the programme.
