Port Blair, June 25: A&N AIDS Control Society (ANACS) is organising Open Volleyball Tournament at Indoor Multi-purpose Hall, Netaji Stadium, Port Blair from 26-30 June, 2014. Being organised in association with Department of Sports & Youth Affairs to coincide with the observance of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on 26 June 2014, the theme for this year’s observance is “Make health your ‘new high’ in life, not drugs”. Through the medium of such events, ANACS would be making efforts to generate awareness among the people in general and the youth in particular to keep themselves away from the ill effects of new psychoactive substances (NPS), which can be far more dangerous than traditional drugs. The opening ceremony of the tournament will be at the Indoor Multi-purpose Hall, Netaji Stadium, Port Blair on 26 June 2014 at 10 AM and the Director (Sports), Mr. Lucas Robert will be the chief guest on the occasion.
