Various Committees Formed to ensure better environment for Education
Port Blair, July 25: The Premier Science School of the Tribal region of the Nicobar District, Govt. Senior Secondary School Lapathy, conducted its first Parents-Teachers Association meeting of the current session, today at the Community hall of the Big Lapathy village. The First Captain from Kinyuka village Shri Othniel, Shri Kindness from Kinmai, Shri Prophet from Tetop, Shri Regionald Watchful from the remote Kimious village, Shri John Levi from Mus , the representative Smti Orlin James from Tamaloo village and many other captains from the different villages were the invited guests on the occasion.
In the 2 hours long deliberations in the meeting, under the chairmanship of Smti Ireena Mark, the First Captain of the Small Lapathy, many committees were formed, ensuring conducive environment
in the School, to facilitate qualitative Education. The first captain of the Big Lapathy Village Shri Manua Thomas was elected the Chairman of the School Management Committee and Smti Daisy, PGT was chosen the Chairperson of the Mothers’ Committee. Similarly executive committee for School building committee was also formed.
Addressing the gathering of Parents, the Chairperson Smti Ireena mark said that the committees are formed for the betterment of the students, and the parents should cooperate the school management in this regard. She asked the paren ts to provide their children favourable environment at home to study, and follow the instructions given by the school, regarding the studies of the children.
Insisting on motivating the children to go to school regularly, the Captain of the Kinmai village Shri Kindness called upon the parents to make use of the facilities being provided by the Govt. for the Education of the students of the tribal region.
Earlier the Vice Principal of the School Smti Mani Mala Halder in her speech sought the cooperation of the parents in achieving the objectives. She requested the Parents to motivate their children to come to School daily, and inculcate the habit of study at home.
Talking about the Mid Day Meal Scheme, she said that good quality food is provided at the school, to the students up to class VIII. She urged the parents of the students of class IX onwards, to send their children with Tiffin. Expressing her satisfaction over the improved CBSE results this year, she said that ,this year too night classes will be conducted to achieve better results in the board Exams. Shri Minus conducted the PTA meeting and requested the parents to be in touch with the teachers of their children, to know about the progress.
