Diglipur, Feb 22: Unemployed Nurses residing in Diglipur organized a rally in Diglipur Bazar to protest against A&N Administration for not recruiting Nurses in Directorate of Health Services since last fourteen years. Un-employed nurses expressed their immense anger on Directorate of Health Services for their policy of providing employment on Leave Vacancy that lasts from forty five to ninety days that too every two to three years because it is provided on rotation basis.
The rally demanded several improvements from the Andaman and Nicobar Administration that includes Withdrawal of corrigendum F.No 6-1(6)/2009-MPH (PH-1) date 7th April,2011, Age limit for direct recruitment should be enhanced to 18-35 for Males and 18-38 for Females, Extra relaxation should be given for a period of 03 years to the candidates falling under OBC category, No age limit should be implemented against the 250 candidates who are disqualified by RR amendment, Up gradation of GB Pant Hospital and PHC Gyaracharama, Posting of Councilors in 340 schools should be done within next 06 months. Rally came to an end at the GPO Building, Diglipur.
