Remaining 02 accused of Juvenile Home Double Murder Case apprehended

Port Blair, Aug 06: Finally some good news came from Burmanallah area of South Andaman, this morning for Andaman and Nicobar Police and for these Islands that two remaining absconding juveniles, in conflict with law in connection with the double murder in the Juvenile Home at Nayagaon, have been apprehended today.
Later during preliminary interrogation the arrested Juveniles reportedly told Police that they survived on Biscuits, they brought from Juvenile Home and coconuts, they gathered from the Jungle, in which they were hiding.
Highly placed sources told Andaman Sheekha that during interrogation they reportedly told Police that they have been moving from one place to another inside the Burmanalah Jungle. They were reportedly changing their place everyday and a day before yesterday they came near the main-road.
However, police department is trying to establish entire chain of events. Meanwhile, both juveniles been handed to the Special Juvenile Police Unit of PS Aberdeen.
According to police, these two juvenile delinquents shall be produced before the Hon’ble Juvenile Justice Board, Port Blair on 07/08/2012. Further investigation is on.
“The Andaman & Nicobar Police appreciates the assistance and cooperation extended by members of the public in the massive search operation launched by several police teams to trace out the juveniles absconding from the Home since the day of incidents,” a release from SP South Andaman said here today.
