Port Blair, Sept. 24 The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 4,33,944 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,69,317 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 1938 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.
A total of 1399 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 239 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 337 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 35 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 202 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 6 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44.
2176 people vaccinated today in A&N Islands

As per data available, a total of 4,32,006 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,69,037 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.
A total of 2176 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands. 1461 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 231 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 466 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 22 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 249 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 4 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44.
4149 people vaccinated today in A&N Islands

As per data available, a total of 4,29,830 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,68,780 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.
A total of 4149 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands. 1928 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 247 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years.
Similarly, 1543 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 43 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 678 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 9 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44.
A & N Islands achieve 100 % vaccination of Target population with first dose

Port Blair, Sept 21: As the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have achieved 100 percent vaccination of target population with first dose, the social media circle of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is flooded with gratitude and appreciation messages.
As per Cowin website of Government of India, the target has been achieved on 19 September 2021. The target of 2,86,000 (Target Population) was however set by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI, it is learnt.
The COVID-19 team of Health Department, under the leadership of Dr. Avijit Ray deserves especial appreciation for this achievement.
The Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr. Jitendra Narain, and Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Mr. Suneel Anchipaka as well as Deputy Commissioner of N&M Andaman, Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan also deserves especial appreciation for this success.
9792 people vaccinated today in A&N Islands

As per data available, a total of 4,25,681 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,68,481 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.
A total of 9792 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands. 7680 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 5281 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 1433 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 42 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 679 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 7 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44.
All RAT passengers found COVID-19 negative today: Director IP&T

Port Blair, Sep 19: The Director IP&T, Mr. Alok Kumar,(DANICS) informed today that nine flights with 1257 passengers arrived today at Port Blair Airport and all passengers have undergone RT-PCR test, the results for today’s RT-PCR are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that for passengers who arrived yesterday (Saturday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive at the RT-PCR test.
The Director further informed that 332 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were tested at Ferrargunj in which all persons were tested COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and altogether 191 people were tested at Phoenix Bay in which all were found COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and at Mohanpura Bus stand 221 RAT were conducted in which all were found COVID-19 negative today.
“At Phoenix Bay jetty, 84 passengers travelling to Swaraj Dweep were tested in which all were found Covid-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)”, he said.
“Today a total of 83 doses of vaccine were provided to eligible beneficiaries among which 50 persons were of the 18-44 year age group,” he added.
Later Deputy Director GB Pant Hospital, Dr. Amitabha De informed that at GB Pant Hospital only one COVID-19 patient is admitted who is on oxygen support, Whereas no asymptomatic patient is at Covid Care Center, he added.
Eight flights with 1248 passengers arrived today at Port Blair: Director IP&T

Port Blair, Sep 17: The Director Tourism IP&T, Mr. Alok Kumar, (DANICS) informed today that eight flights with 1248 passengers arrived at Port Blair Airport this morning and all passengers have undergone RT-PCR test, the results for today’s RT-PCR are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that among passengers who arrived yesterday (Thursday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive at the RT-PCR test.
The Director further informed that 229 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were tested at Ferrargunj in which all persons were tested COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and passengers departing from Port Blair at Phoenix Bay, altogether 158 people were tested and at afternoon 30 person were also tested in which all were found COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and at Mohanpura Bus stand 198 RAT was conducted in which all were found COVID-19 negative and at Helipad total 10 persons were tested in which all found COVID-19 negative.
At Phoenix Bay jetty, 80 passengers arrived today, all were found Covid-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 14 crew members of MV Strait Islands were also tested today, results for RT-PCR test are awaited, he said.
“Today a total of 340 doses of vaccine were provided to eligible beneficiaries, 246 were of the 18-44 year age group at JNRM Vaccination Center,” he added.
3579 people vaccinated today in A&N Islands

As per data available, a total of 4,05,008 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 3579 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands. A total of 1,61,878 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.
2273 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 505 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 815 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 42 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 491 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 8 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44.
3694 people vaccinated today in A&N Islands

As per data available, a total of 4,01,429 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 3694 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands. A total of 1,61,323 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.
2303 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 529 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 775 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 81 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 616 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 7 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44.
As number of COVID-19 active cases has gone up, Secretary IP&T appeals Islanders to follow CAB

Port Blair, Sep 15: The Secretary IP&T, Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh today said that the number of active cases has again increased comparatively in past few days, which is a matter of concern for Administration.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that in these new cases, local residents of Andaman and Nicobar Islands have not contributed much but still Islanders should be careful and must follow all the COVID-19 protocols.
The Secretary further informed that among passengers who arrived yesterday (Tuesday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive at the RT-PCR test.
The Secretary IP&T further informed that 283 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were tested at Ferrargunj in which no one was found COVID-19 positive during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 121 passengers departing for Shaheed Dweep islands were also tested today in which all were found COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 59 persons arrived from Swaraj Dweep today in which all were found COVID-19 negative. Further the Secretary informed that at Mohanpura Bus stand 209 RAT was conducted in which all were found COVID-19 negative.
“At Phoenix Bay jetty, 94 passengers arriving to Port Blair were tested in which all were found Covid-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)”.
“in Geetanjali Bus 04 persons were tested in which all were found COVID-19 negative today. Today a total of 390 doses of vaccine were provided to eligible beneficiaries in which, 307 were of 18-44 year age group at JNRM Vaccination Center,” he added.
Altogether 04 COVID-19 patients are admitted at GB Pant Hospital so far, whereas today no asymptomatic patient got admitted at Covid Care Center, he added.
