Port Blair, Nov 07: The Director IP&T, Mr. Alok Kumar, (DANICS) today informed that 12 flights with 2017 passengers arrived at Port Blair Airport today in which 1531 were fully vaccinated and the remaining 486 passengers have undergone RT-PCR test, the results for today’s RT-PCR are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that for passengers who arrived yesterday (Saturday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive in the RT-PCR test.
The Director further informed that 585 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were checked at Ferrargunj in which 390 were fully vaccinated and the remaining 195 persons were tested COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). At Mohanpura Bus stand 82 RATs were conducted in which all were found COVID-19 negative and at Helipad one person bound for Nicobar and three persons travelling to Hutbay found covid-19 Positive in RAT Test, he added.
3782 people vaccinated today in A&N Islands
Port Blair, Nov. 5: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 5,01,189 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,73,667 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 3782 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.
2410 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 62 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 1254 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 11 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 118 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 4 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44.
No passenger found COVID-19 positive today: Director IP&T

Port Blair, Nov 05: The Director IP&T, Mr. Alok Kumar, (DANICS) today informed that eight flights with 1900 passengers arrived today at Port Blair Airport among which 1260 were fully vaccinated and the remaining 640 passengers have undergone for RT-PCR test, the results for today’s RT-PCR are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that for passengers who arrived yesterday (Thursday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive in the RT-PCR test.
The Director further informed that 462 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were checked at Ferrargunj in which 310 were fully vaccinated and the remaining 152 persons were tested COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). At Mohanpura Bus stand 69 RAT were conducted in which all were found COVID-19 negative today and at Helipad total of 11 persons were tested in which all found COVID-19 negative.
“Today a total of 346 doses of vaccine were provided to eligible beneficiaries among which 323 persons were of the 18-44 year age group,” he added.
Later Dr. A.K. Mandal, Director, ANIIMS informed that at GB Pant Hospital only two COVID-19 patients are admitted and no asymptomatic patient is admitted at Covid Care Center, he added.
1211 people vaccinated today in A&N Islands
Port Blair, Nov. 03: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 4,97,407 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,73,590 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 1211 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.
962 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 81 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 153 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 1 beneficiary was in the age group of 18-44. 96 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 1 beneficiary was in the age group of 18-44.
One airport passenger found COVID-19 positive in RT-PCR test: Deputy Director IP&T
Port Blair, Nov 01: The Deputy Director of IP&T, Mr. Radhey Shyam Meena today said that altogether eleven flights with 1911 passengers arrived today at Port Blair Airport and 1670 passengers have undergone for RT-PCR test, the results of today’s RT-PCR tests are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that among passengers who arrived yesterday (Sunday), one passenger was found COVID-19 positive.
The Deputy Director further informed that 284 persons (travelers) bound for North & Middle Andaman were tested at Ferrargunj in which no person was tested COVID-19 positive during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
Whereas today only 07 RATs were conducted at Phoenix Bay jetty, 125 RATs were conducted at Mohanpura Bus stand and at Helipad a total of 10 persons were tested in which all were found COVID-19 negative during RATs, he added.
“Today a total of 423 doses of vaccines were provided to eligible beneficiaries among which 401 persons were of the 18-44 year age group,” he added.
Later the Director, ANIIMS, Dr. AK Mandal, informed that at GB Pant Hospital two new COVID-19 patients got admitted, whereas no asymptomatic patient is at Covid Care Center, he added.

As per data available, a total of 4,95,281 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,73,439 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 3862 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.
3733 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 384 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 105 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 13 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 24 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District.
No passenger found COVID-19 positive today: Director IP&T

Port Blair, Oct 29: The Director IP&T, Mr. Alok Kumar (DANICS) informed that eight flights with 1354 passengers arrived today at Port Blair Airport in which 913 people were fully vaccinated and the remaining 441 passengers have undergone RT-PCR test, the results for today’s RT-PCR are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that, among passengers who arrived yesterday (Thursday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive in the RT-PCR test.
The Director further informed that 431 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were tested at Ferrargunj in which 278 were fully vaccinated and the remaining 158 persons were tested COVID-19 negative in Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
Altogether 21 people were tested at Phoenix Bay jetty in which all were found Covid-19 negative in Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)”, he said. He further said that at Mohanpura Bus stand 101 RAT were conducted today in which all were found COVID-19 negative and at Helipad total of 08 persons were tested in which all found COVID-19 negative.
“Today a total of 238 doses of vaccine were provided to eligible beneficiaries among which 201 people were under 18-44 year age group,” he added.

1598 people vaccinated today in A&N Islands
Port Blair, Oct. 29: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 4,89,810 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,72,963 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 1598 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.
Meanwhile, 1104 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which 68 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44 years. Similarly, 196 beneficiaries were vaccinated in North & Middle Andaman District out of which 16 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44. 298 beneficiaries were vaccinated in Nicobar District out of which 13 beneficiaries were in the age group of 18-44.
No passenger found COVID-19 positive in RT-PCR and RAT today: Secretary IP&T

Port Blair, Oct 28: The Secretary of IP&T, Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh today informed that eight flights with 1404 passengers arrived today at Port Blair Airport and 515 passengers have undergone the RT-PCR test, the results of today’s RT-PCR tests are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that among passengers who arrived yesterday (Wednesday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive.
The Secretary further informed that 142 persons (travelers) bound for North & Middle Andaman was tested at Ferrargunj in which no person was tested COVID-19 positive during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). “Altogether 20 people were tested at Phoenix Bay jetty, in which all were found COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), and 122 RATs were conducted at Mohanpura Bus stand in which all were found COVID-19 negative today”, he said.
“Today a total of 486 doses of vaccines were provided to eligible beneficiaries among which 451 persons were of the 18-44 year age group,” he added.
Further, the Deputy Director GB Pant Hospital, Dr. Amitabha De, informed that at GB Pant Hospital one new COVID-19 patient got admitted, whereas no asymptomatic patient is at Covid Care Center, he added.
