Port Blair, July 19: Under National Programme for Control of Blindness in association with Directorate of Health Services, Dr. (Mrs.) Anita Shah, Eye Specialist/DD (Ophth), G.B. Pant Hospital, recently visited PHC Havelock to provide specialist service to the needy patients of the Island. She examined about 15 patient during the visit. She also conducted meeting with Pradhan and PRI Members and brief about NPCB Programme and free services provided under the Programme like free Cataract surgery, School Eye Screening Programme and distribution of free glasses to the school students. She sensitized all the PRI Members about Diabetic Retinopathy. The PRI Members assured to provide their full support to identify to diabetic patient and to arrange DR Screening camp at Havelock like NPCB doing at various health centers of South Andaman.
