Port Blair, Apr 11: Health awareness programme on “World Health Day & World Homoeopathy Day” was organised on 09.04.2016 at Primary Health Centre, Manglutan. Smt Minati Biswas, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman was the chief guest on the occasion. An essay competition was also conducted on Homoeopathy Day among students of GSSS Manglutan & prizes distributed to the winners. Shri K. Thiyag Rajan, Health Educator welcomed the gathering. Dr. Varun Parekh, Medical Officer In-charge & Dr. Supria Arangi, Medical Officer (Homoeo) explained in detail regarding healthy living and benefits of homoeopathic treatment. Vote of thanks was proposed by Smt Teresa Lakra, Public Health Nurse. PRI members, ASHA, Anganwadi workers, Para-medical workers, and large number of general public attended the programme.
