Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 09: The State Child Protection Society (SCPS), under the Directorate of Social Welfare, in collaboration with Oil India Pvt. Ltd., organized a special program at Pranab Kanya Sangha to distribute LED TVs to 11 Child Care Institutions (CCIs). This initiative is a part of ongoing efforts to improve living conditions and support the welfare of children residing in these homes.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Mrs. Rehaneth Begum, Program Manager of SCPS, who outlined the objectives of Mission Vatsalya, a flagship government scheme dedicated to the protection and welfare of vulnerable children. She emphasized the scheme’s commitment to ensuring safety, well-being, and holistic development for children in need.
Mr. Sanjib Kumar Gogoi, Chief General Manager of Oil India Ltd., highlighted the company’s significant role in the initiative. He elaborated on Oil India Ltd.’s contributions under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and expressed gratitude to the Social Welfare Department for supporting efforts aimed at helping every individual in society.
As a gesture of respect and recognition, the Oil India Pvt. Ltd. presented Mr. Ravinder Kumar, Director (Social Welfare), with the traditional Assamese Gamocha, a unique symbol of honor presented to distinguished individuals. This heartfelt gesture was deeply appreciated by Director, who expressed his gratitude to Oil India Ltd. for the recognition and their invaluable support in advancing the welfare of children.
Representative from Capston CCI shared heartfelt accounts of how these contributions would positively impact the lives of the children under their care. They expressed sincere gratitude to Oil India Ltd. for its generosity and proactive support in advancing child welfare.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. A.K. Biswas, Nodal Officer of Mission Vatsalya Scheme, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the Directorate of Social Welfare to the dignitaries of Oil India Ltd. for their generous support and collaboration in this meaningful endeavor.
