Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 11: The Industries Department in collaboration with various Line Departments organized a Sensitization Program on Startup India Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME), Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), and other relevant schemes from the Bank, Agriculture and Fisheries Departments.
The programme was held in Bakultala, N&M Andaman District and attracted a total of 85 participants, primarily comprising trainees from the Industrial Training Institute and the Industries Department.
The camp was aimed at educating local entrepreneurs and potential startups about various Government initiatives designed to support Micro and Small Enterprises.
The key highlights included Startup India Scheme: Information on what is a Startup and identifying new Ideas for business ventures by Nodal Officer (Startup) through VC. PMFME and PMEGP Scheme: Insights into generating employment through self-employment initiatives and financial assistance available for new projects by the Incharge, Extension Office, Bakultala. Agriculture and Fisheries Support by Sr. Veterinary Officer, AH&VS Rangat and Assistant Director (Agri). The Assistant Manager, SBI briefed about various loan schemes implemented through Banks.
The Industries Department expressed gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement, emphasizing that such initiatives are crucial for fostering entrepreneurship in the region. The Department is committed to continuing its efforts in providing resources and support to empower local businesses.
