Diglipur, North Andaman, Sept 30: a vibrant celebration of the World Tourism Day 2024, the Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur, has organized an event on the World Tourism Day with the coordination of Mr. M. Rajendra Kumar, BDO, In-Charge Assistant Director(Sports) and Mr. Nilu Mazumder, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Shibpur hosted a series of engaging activities at Kalipur Beach.
The event kicked off with a spirited cleanliness drive, drawing enthusiastic participation from PRI members and youths from local community. This initiative highlighted the critical importance of maintaining pristine beaches to boost tourism.
A highlight of the day was the tug-of-war competition, which saw lively participation and added a fun, competitive spirit to the celebrations. Mr. S. Kamaleshwar Rao, IAS, the Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur, underscored the significance of beach cleanliness in promoting tourism and presented trophies and certificates to the winners and runners-up, acknowledging their enthusiastic involvement.
The celebration of World Tourism Day at Kalipur Beach was a resounding success, showcasing the community’s dedication to sustainable tourism.
