Diglipur, Nov. 21: As part of the Celebration of Iconic Week of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav, the Food Corporation of India in association with Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Diglipur organized an Awareness Program for the Anganwadi Workers of Diglipur in the Conference Hall of the Administrative Building, Diglipur on 20th Nov. 2021 at 10.00AM. Mr. Ankit Yadav (IAS), Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur was the Chief Guest while Ms. Neomi, Divisional Manager, FCI, DO, Port Blair and officials of FCI were present on the occasion. The program was attended by a large number Angawadi Workers and FPS owners of Diglipur.
Hailing the Anganwadi Workers of Diglipur, the Assistant Commissioner said that the Anganwadi Workers were very punctual and hardworking in their duty assigned to them in order to implement the Central Govt.’s PMGKY by reaching out to the poor and needy in remote areas and supply the food grains and also keep them well informed about the COVID-19 pandemic situation and which they excellently performed. Their selfless and relentless work to the society deserves special praises, the AC also said.
Earlier, Mr. KP Mohhammed, AG Raffique, AG.II (Depot) welcomed the gathering and said that FCI released tons of food grain under PMGKY during COVID-19 pandemic situation and still has sufficient stock of food grain for release, a source said.
