Diglipur, Nov. 08: On her maiden visit to Diglipur Tehsil after assuming the Office, Mrs. Anjali Sehrawat, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, N & M Andaman district, visited CHC, Diglipur along with Mr. Ankit Sharma, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur on 5th November.
She first took stock of the situation of Dialysis Unit, new Oxygen Plant and COVID-19 Vaccination status and other related constraints of the Health Care facility at the CHC. The DC interacted with the patients in Labour Room and inquired if they were happy with treatment being given. She also visited Medicine Store of the CHC and wanted to know if the adequate stock of medicine was there. On asking what do the dialysis patients do in the event of non-functioning of the Dialysis Plant at CHC, Diglipur, the CMO replied that these patients have to go RP Hospital, Mayabunder for this purpose. When asked why the Dialysis Plant is not working now, the CMO said that, due to the undesired hang-up in the RO Plant, the Dialysis Plant is not working; however once the service engineers arrive, both the Dialysis and Oxygen plants will start functioning smoothly. The DC asked the CMO to see that both the plants function at the earliest. On taking stock of the backlog COVID-19 vaccination, the DC ordered the CMO to conduct special drive on vaccines in remote and far flung areas under Diglipur Tehsil. The District Magistrate also wanted to know about the specialists team at the CHC, and the CMO said that, at present there are a gynaecologist, one medical specialist, one anaesthetist and a surgeon in the CHC. The DC directed the CMO to submit in detail about the current strength of Health Care Workers at the CHC. The Deputy Commissioner also visited the upcoming Sub-District Hospital site, a source said.
In transit, Mrs. Sehrawat inspected projects under GOI schemes (PMAY PMMSY etc) along with proposed infrastructure udgradation works at various places under Diglipur Tehsil. She allotted 50 sqmtr of house site under PMAY to 52 beneficiaries at Kishorinagar. She also visited the cluster of completely built houses for 18 beneficiaries at Laxmipur, Radhanagar and Gandhnagar. She made a brief visit to Solid and Liquid Waste Management Project at Radhanagar village as well, the source also said.
