Port Blair Aug 20: The School of Performing and Visual Arts of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a new programme- BA (Performing Arts)-Hindustani Music (Honours.). The B.A. (Performing Arts) – Hindustani Music Hons.) is designed to give an in-depth knowledge in the discipline of Hindustani Classical Music while allowing for exposure to subjects beyond the discipline as well. The programme is focuses on the skill and competences development having both professional and academic proficiency leading to job opportunities and over all development. The three years B.A. (Performing Arts) – Hindustani Music Hons. is offered in Hindi medium, Total Fees Rs. 27,600/- ( per year 9,200/-) The programme has 14 core courses. Each core course is of six credits. These courses cover more than half of the programme, 84 credits (14 courses x 6 credits) out of 148 credits of the programme. 10+2 from a recognized Board are eligible for the programme. The BAPFHMH programme is activated at Regional Centre, Port Blair. The Admissions are going now for July 2021 session both online and offline mode.
