Port Blair, May 06: The Central Crime Station Unit of Andaman and Nicobar Police has launched a detailed investigation against a suspected Bangladeshi national, who has been living in Port Blair with fake Indian documents and was working as Barbar in Delanipur area of Port Blair city.
The accused, Mr. Nayan Sarkar, 30 years has been detained by CCS unit of Andaman and Nicobar Police and detailed investigations are on.
As per sources the accused entered India with Bangladeshi Passport in 2015 and then from West Bengal he obtained fake Birth Certificate, Local Identity Card, Pan Card and Adhaar Card and then he came to Andaman and Nicobar Islands for work.
When a red flag was raised by concerned Ministry regarding this accused, who entered India but did not return, a joint investigating team was formed to investigate the matter.
There are high possibilities that the accused will be arrested soon after detailed investigation. Sources said that brother of the accused who was also working in Andaman have already left Andaman in recent past.
The Director General of Police, A & N Islands have also recently twitted about this issue and also uploaded the Aadhar card of the accused in his twitter message .In several occasions in past, Andaman Sheekha Daily had raised the issue of Bangladeshi illegal immigrants working in Andaman with fake certificates. Infact nearly four to five years back some illegal Bangladeshi Nationals were identified and detained at Diglipur but later only a few were arrested and others were allowed to go due to political pressure.
