Port Blair, Mar 04: Mr. Swaraj Shahid Bhowal, an Islander who has recently played a major role in arranging funds from different donors in different countries, for the prosthetic arms of Mr. Gaurab Kumar Paul said that he is hopeful that kind hearted people of these Islands, will surely find a job for Mr. Gaurab so that he can support his family.
Mr. Gaurab had lost both his arms three years back and now after getting prosthetic arms, he is confident to find a job and support his parents.
Born in these Islands, Mr. Swaraj Shahid did his schooling from Campbell Bay and studied at Engineering College Kota. Since last several decades his is working abroad with US Government. He was a part of operation Joint Guardian Kosovo, Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan, operation Iraqi Freedom. He worked in Djibuti and was part of many operations there.
Presently he is a part of Foreign Military sales program of United States Department of Defense at CENTCOM Middle East.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha Mr. Swaraj Shahid said that he is always humbled by the kindness and unity shown by people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and he added that he is sure that in this case also some employer will come forward and offer Mr. Gaurab a good job, as per his capability. “I will feel that all the efforts put by many Islanders for Mr. Gaurab will be successful, when he will get a job and become self dependent.
