Anger among public after Private Bus hits a moped near Clock Tower; Rider Critical

Port Blair, Feb 24: In yet another road accident a moped rider was hit by a Private Bus near clock tower of Aberdeen Bazaar this evening, leaving the moped rider grievously injured. The injured moped rider, identified as Mr Ajay Yadav, nearly 45 years, was immediately rushed to G B Pant hospital after the accident, where his condition remains critical, it is learnt. The accident took place at around 7.40 PM.
Meanwhile, huge crowd gathered at the site of accident because of which the road was completely jammed at late evening. A few angry people reportedly pelted stones on the Bus but later police team controlled the situation. The bus was later taken to PS Aberdeen, it is learnt and police department is carrying out further inquiry.
