Port Blair, Dec 01: After pointing out for dozens of time about a major damage in a small stretch of Andaman Trunk Road, nearly 500 mtrs after Middle Strait, the NHIDCL finally temporarily repaired the road stretch on Sunday.
In last few weeks several dozen of vehicles suffered heavy damages while crossing the area, which is next to a newly constructed culvert. As per details there was also a threat of land sliding close to the culvert, which also has been repaired on Sunday, it is learnt.
Following complaints, the police team of Middle Strait Check Post intimated the NHIDCL officials about this damaged portion of ATR for dozens of time, finally on Sunday the stretch of road was temporarily repaired and the NHIDCL has also reportedly promised to permanently repair the portion within 15 days.
