Port Blair, October 14: Andaman Nicobar Police has launched a cleanup drive against Narcotics. In the last 20 days, the Central Crime Station has arrested around a dozen drug peddlers and recovered drugs worth several crores.
The team of Central Crime Station headed by the Station House Officer, Inspector Mahesh Kumar Yadav, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Jagdev Singh Yadav, recently nabbed 02 drug peddlers Vikram and Balaji, with more than 2 kilograms of Ganja.
On a tip-off, the team of CCS conducted a raid on both the peddlers, who landed Port Blair from Kolkata in Indigo Airlines, and found that both the peddlers were carrying a huge quantity of Ganja.
In the last 20 days, the CCS team has arrested around 11 peddlers from all corners of these Islands.
Such an effort of the AN Police has been highly appreciated by the citizens of the Islands, and request has been made to continue the efforts to safeguard the youth of these Islands.
