Port Blair, June 05: A seven feet long Andaman Cobra was caught by the Range Officer Protection Unit of Wildlife Department, South Anaman last night from Minnie Bay Lane 03. It took more than 02 hours of efforts to catch the venomous Andaman Cobra Snake, it is learned.
The snake is currently in the Haddo Mini Zoo and the wildlife department is now waiting for the instructions to release the venomous snake in the forest.
“The length of Andaman Cobra does not exceed 08 feet and hence catching 07 feet long Andaman Cobra is one of its kind and rarest,” said the wildlife officials who caught the snake on condition of anonymity.
