Diglipur, Mar 18: The CCS and CID units of Andaman and Nicobar Police today conducted a joint raid at Sagar Dweep area of North Andaman and arrested one person for allegedly growing Ganja plants near his house.
According to sources the accused was growing Ganja plants in the form of Plantation and the joint team has seized 16 long plants from the plantation. The accused was immediately arrested by the team.
Ganja smuggling has become very lucrative business and hence in many occasions it was seen that people in Andaman indulge in Ganja Plantation in small level. Earlier similar cases were reported from Diglipur and Little Andaman Islands.
