Port Blair, Aug 01: In yet another man and wildlife conflict, a villager of Bakultala has been reportedly killed by a crocodile this morning.
According to information received here, Mr. Ajay Kulla, a 22 year old youth of Bakultala had gone for fishing with his friend Manoj Barla at 9.00 am in a nearby nallah, when suddenly a croc attacked Ajay Kulla. Manoj Barla, on the spot seeing the croc attack, later when villagers reached the spot, they found Ajay missing from the spot.
Even after best effort the Forest and Police officials could not trace out the body of Ajay Kulla, by 9.00 pm.
According to villager, a few days a back the crock had taken a cow from the nearby area.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament of A & N Islands, Mr. B P Ray today visited the area and met the family members of croc victims.
