District Health Society urged the general public to refrain feeding Pigeon

Diglipur, Dec 7: The State Health Society, A & N Islands and N & M Andaman administration urged the general public to refrain from the habit of feeding Pigeon available within close proximity in order to prevent disease of Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis which is one of the forms of Pulmonary Fibrosis, caused by Pigeons. Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis Bird Fancier’s Lung is an inflammatory Lung condition caused by bird droppings that are highly allergenic.
Doctors advice that avoiding exposure to pigeon droppings is key to curing Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis. Those exposed to the fecal matter should use N95 masks.
