Port Blair, Nov 14: Mr Naresh Chander Lal, the Swachh Bharat Ambassador of Andaman and Nicobar Islands will complete two years of selfless and dedicated service as Ambassador tomorrow morning.
On 15th November 2016, Mr Naresh Chander Lal was appointed as Swachh Bharat Ambassador of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and since then with his wholehearted efforts, he has changed the concept of spreading awareness on cleanliness in Andaman Nicobar Islands.
During his tenure, Mr Naresh Chander Lal, mostly targeted young minds and visited almost all the schools of Andaman and Nicobar islands and interacted with students and spread awareness about Swachata, so that the young generation can understand the value of cleanliness so that Andaman have a clean future.
During his tenure as Swachh Bharat Ambassador, he met with the Prime Minister in three occasions and gave updates about his works in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, regarding Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on which, the prime Minister reportedly expressed happiness.
Apart from visiting Schools, Mr Naresh Chander Lal also visited various government institutions like hospitals to make sure that Swachh Bharat Mission do not remain only in official files.
He also got strong media attention during his two year tenure because office dedicated efforts. The most important point is that during his two year tenure he never claimed any financial aid for these visits and inspections.
