Port Blair, June 25: In an intensive excise checking to enforce the observance of dry day, in connection with CCS Managing Committee election today (24/06/12), the staff of PS CCS under the supervision of S.I Girish Kumar developed intelligence about the hoarding of IMFL at Junglighat sea shore by one M.Krishnan S/o Late Minikarapan (55) yrs. Immediately, a raiding team comprising of S.I Mohamad Sameer, S.I Zainudeen, HC KR Murgesan, PCs A.P Tiwari, Sameer . Ahmed, Thangaraj, Srinivasu, Sujit Dutta, Sikendar Khan and HG Shanmuk Rao raided the residence of above bootlegger and recovered 208 Nos. of 750 ml sealed bottles of various brands and seized them from the possession of aforesaid accused person under the cover of seizure memo and the bootlegger was arrested u/s 32 Reg. Ill of 1876 on the spot. The bootlegger had kept the huge quatity of IMFL to sell it in black market at a huge premium as the ANIIDCO shops were closed on 24/06/12 an account of dry day. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
