Two Burmese poachers apprehended in North Andaman

Port Blair, Sept 9: Acting on information about sighting of a foreign dinghy with some foreign occupants near the coast of Interview Island on 21.08.16, Anti-Poaching operations were started involving teams from PS Mayabunder, MOC Kadamtala and IRBn personnel. A foreign Dinghy was recovered from Jhaon Nallah/creek in Interview Island on 22.08.16. Few other articles belongings to the foreign poachers were also recovered in the subsequent days. On 01.09.16 team led by SI Sawless Xess, I/c MOC Kadamtala successfully apprehended 02 Burmese namely 1) Ata Lai Say R/o La Pota and 2) Myn T Than R/o Myau Mya, Myanmar and they have been forwarded to PS CCS. Search operations for the apprehension of remaining poachers are currently underway at Interview Island with team from PS Mayabunder, MOC Kadamtala and IRBn personnel.
