Careless Smoking results in fire at Polytechnic

Port Blair, January 17: Careless smoking has resulted in a minor fire at the Polytechnic gate on 15.01.2016 at 18:25 hrs. According to reports, someone had thrown a burning cigarette at the dumping area situated at the polytechnic gate which resulted into fire.
On information a Fire Brigade team from Aberdeen Fire Station and Garacharma Fire Station with one Fire Tender each reached the spot and controlled the fire. The Fire got controlled by 19:14 hrs. It is learnt that no one suffered any injuries and no damages caused due to the fire.
