Port Blair, Nov 19: Sahul Hamid, a student of Class X, Carmel School reportedly died today because of drowning at Parachattan Waterfalls near Wimberlygunj.
According to reports Sahul Hamid along with four other boys of Ummat Public School Firdosh, Arun, Javed and Irshad had bunked classes and went to the waterfalls for fun but according to reports at the waterfall while swimming, Sahul Hamid got trapped inside water and died because of drowning.
When the report reached to police, the police team of Wimberlygunj and Bambooflat Police Station reached the spot and brought out the body.
Post mortem of the deceased will be conducted tomorrow
Meanwhile, as per reports the Principal and management of Carmel Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair has expressed their deep shock over the sad and untimely demise of Master Sahul Hamid, a Class Xth Student of the school. The school management has declared a holiday for the pre-primary and primary school.
Meanwhile, a prayer meeting in memory of the departed soul has been arranged in the school from 7.30 am – 9.00 am, which will be attended by the students of Class VI-XII. The school will close soon after the prayer meeting at 9.00 am.
The same fellow met with an accident last week in front of Nirmala school gate at midnight , jumped with car into opposite building & survived. This time bad luck.
