Port Blair, May 03: Nearly two weeks ago Andaman Sheekha had published a news article about a suspected murder at Burmanallah. In this case, on 16 April, Police had found a half burnt body of a 27 year old youth namely Ramesh, a former security guard, from a Japanese Bunker of Burmanallah.
But even after more than two weeks the Police Department has failed to crack this case. According to highly placed sources, the police has also received the post mortem report nearly a week ago.
Sources also told Andaman Sheekha that a Sniffer dog was taken to the spot of the murder by a team of Police for investigation from where the dog took the police team to a house but the team could not go inside the house as they were not having warrant to enter inside private property.
When contacted, the Superintendent of Police of South Andaman, Mr Sibesh Singh said that police is trying its level best to crack the case but till now the inputs are inconclusive.
He agreed that a sniffer dog was used in this case but after four or five days of crime it becomes too difficult for a sniffer dog to give right indications.
About post mortem report he said that police has got only interim post mortem report. The Doctors have some doubts for which the specimens have been sent for Forensic Science Lab and once the FSL give report, the report will be handed over to the doctor concerned. He said only after that police will get some conclusive report.
Meanwhile it has been learnt that the Police has also scanned the call details of the accused to reach to the bottom of the case.
