Port Blair, April 22: A couple who had cheated a number of innocent people as well as many prominent businessmen and escaped to Mainland has been trapped by the Tylerabad Police after nearly five months long investigation.
According to reports, the accused Mr Sarvana was running a multi brand two-wheeler showroom in the name of AMS automobiles at Bhathubasthi and used to sell and purchase second hand bikes and also used to arrange finance for customers for purchasing bikes and in the name of arranging finance for the customers he used to take the customer’s document and also a token money from the customers for arranging the full amount.
But for many customers Mr Sarvana neither arranged finance for the customers nor provided bikes.
The accused used to sell and purchase of motorcycles from many dealers of authorised brand at Port Blair on credit basis against post dated cheques. According to public in the month of December 2014 suddenly he went underground.
Sources said that the Mr. T Sarvana used to issue fake cheques from his wife’s account. They had also taken money from two banks and became defaulters. Not only this he purchased four wheelers on loan from Andaman and took that to mainland, without informing anyone.
After nearly five month long investigation the accused was finally brought down to Andaman along with his wife on Saturday 18th April 2015. When they were produced to court they were sent to JC Remand by the court.
Now it has been learnt that showing some fake excuses, the said couple is now planning to apply for bail and trying to come out of Jail, which has left all victims upset.
“The court must consider suffering of all the victims and reject their bail application. If they get bail they will again escape from Andaman and will again go underground,” said a victim.
