Diglipur, Dec 10: A four year old girl child Kakuli Mondal of Sagar Dweep Village of Diglipur, suddenly woke up yesterday and found herself locked inside her own class room of Sagar Dweep Primary School. It took a while for her to understand that she fell asleep inside the class and her teachers did not notice her before locking the doors.
Deeply scared Kakuli started shouting laud and beating the doors for help but no one responded. A villager on hearing some strange sounds from locked school intimated this matter to others and by the time they reached the school, the girl child somehow managed to come out through the ventilator of the class. Showing great courage the girl jumped from the ventilator on the other side.
Miraculously the girl survived with minor bruises.
By that time father of the missing girl, Nishi Kanta Mondal, also reached the school searching for her.
There were two teachers present on the day in the Primary School, one pre primary teacher and one pre primary ayah.
The Asst. Commissioner of Diglipur, Dr. Vivek Kumar got the information in late night yesterday. In the early morning he along with the DEO Mr. P.C Tikait went to the Sagar Dweep School and enquired about the incident.
When Andaman Sheekha contacted the DEO he said that at that time it was raining so the child slept inside the class room. However, for reasons unknown, the parents preferred not to put any blame on teachers and admitted in front of the authorities that it was the mistake of the child and asked to not to take any action against the school authorities in this regard.
